History

In the years 1976-1983 in Dziwnówek, commissioned by the Szczecin Shipyard, a rather avant-garde for the times, but completely unique Róża Wiatrów (Rose of Winds) resort was built. Róża Wiatrów was a huge complex, covering as much as 10 hectares, consisting of four ten-story high-rise buildings located directly on the beach. The resort had a large infrastructure in the form of a huge canteen, where lavish New Year's Eve balls were held, there was a colony center with a tennis court and the Medusa guesthouse building. There were also plans for an indoor swimming pool, which unfortunately was never completed. The resort offered its guests one of the best views on the entire Polish coast, and was bustling all year round, with shipyard workers and tourists from all over Poland vacationing there.
